As Winter approaches we are all running around getting ready for Christmas.
However, we have one more event for everybody this year ” A Taste of German Christmas” which is on Sunday, 30th November from 2.30pm to 5.00pm at the Glossop Labour Club in Chapel Street. Entry price is only £1 and you receive a free glass of mulled wine. There will be plenty of German cakes and biscuits to enjoy and a small stall selling traditional German items for the festive season plus some delicious goodies.
We also intend to promote next year’s trip to Bad Vilbel, which is currently being prepared by our German friends. Committee members who have visited our twin town in the past will be on hand to answer any questions. Although we have not yet received the trip pricing or itinerary, we will be taking names of those who wish to receive information about joining the trip, which takes place July 30th to 3rd August, 2026. Tickets are on sale now at Dark Peak Books in High Street West, Glossop Labour Club and via e mail from the twin town events e mail shown on the members e mail recently.
on Saturday, 17th January we will be holding an awareness day at Tesco in Glossop and we will need some volunteers please to help the committee members. A couple of hours of your time would be ideal!
We will also be holding a Members Dinner in January and full details will be posted on here when available as well as via e mail to members.
